All the materials you can find on the site YogaOpenYoga.com We are on the way on exploring HATHA YOGA. The most popular kind of yoga. This is step 2. We had a small preview last time. This time we are going to talk about hatha yoga in a little bit more detail from one more view. There are many different aspects we need to see in this teaching in order to see how it fits to each and every person. That is on that side. O.K. So, hatha yoga! What is yoga all in all? If you have studied our courses before then you might know and it will be a repetition. If not, then you are welcome to register on the courses. It is free of charge.
Www.YogaOpenYoga.com It’s fun and it’s very interesting and useful to do. But, if you don’t want and if you want to just explore this topic at this time you are welcome to do so. Yoga is the system of self-exploration and exploring of the universe. This is the teaching where we are learning a lot of things about ourselves. Means quite a lot of work, but it’s very interesting and very rewarding. Yoga would not be yoga, if there would not be certain laws or the basic principles of yoga. There are two of them. The first principle and the second principle. The first principle says – that we should avoid any violence at any cost. However, our life is not perfect and there are certain things we have to do in your life and we have to follow our dharma. If we can avoid doing harm we do so. We follow our Dharma and minimize the harm. It is the principle of kindness. The 2nd principle is the principle of efficiency. We try to be effective. If we name the goal we strive for it. So, in whatever activity we are getting involved in beforehand we ask ourselves whether it is going to bring us to our goal.
Either I’m taking a nap ( I’m going to rest) or I’m just trying to avoid doing things that I have to do. In yoga we have to combine these two methods and principles in one harmonious system. Because yoga is like life – vital. It can be applied in each person’s life. We have to work with ourselves and we have to apply these methods in our life. Hatha yoga is a great foundation for other areas of your life and other kinds of yoga as we discussed before. If we are talking about hatha yoga and that this is a physical kind of yoga.
Then there is a question is a hatha yoga kind of sports? No, hatha yoga is not kind of sports. There are different reasons why not and we have discussed this before. We are not striving for some artificial images that are there. So, there is the main concept that there is no violence and there’s work with ourselves. Hatha yoga and the yoga in general have the same goals. This is the way – how through the physical body we get to know ourselves better, how we explore this world, too. This is how we will build the foundation for the other things to go on. There are many new more things to explore ourselves. See you next time on the class of hatha yoga.
